The ‘Me’ Brand

I was given some marketing advice just recently about making a choice. ‘You need to figure out which Neeta you are – Bohemian or Edgy.’
I know exactly what they meant by this, and was grateful for the advice – the idea of maintaining a consistent theme, and branding my personality in relation to my business.
However, as time goes by, I know that there are times when I’m feeling a little more Bohemian and long to be somewhere where I can walk barefoot and carefree in the soft sand.
There are also times when I feel a little more Edgy, and have visions of dressing like a Ninja in a black playsuit, wearing red lipstick, and practicing calisthenics (I’m not sure if this is bizarre rather than Edgy, yet I’m definitely sure that I need calisthenics practice).
As time goes by I’ve also realised that as we evolve, progress and develop, parts of our personality may flourish or diminish, depending on our current stage in life.
I spent some time thinking about the advice, and came to the conclusion that I can actually be both – perhaps jumping in my fitness gear on an empty golf course in Spain – plus a whole array of other traits. Because that’s who I am. That’s Me. For now. x

  1. I’ve heard through my sales career that I must “create my brand”, and I believe it. It never became more through than when I started my blog. It’s an interesting concept and surpringky hard to do.

  2. It’s always hard to create your brand the first time but as you go on; more and more of your personality will be revealed. Just choose what style works for you for the main time and go with the flow.
